Transmission
So after driving my car the other day the car dash light all came on and the car shut down . So I pulled off the road and went to start . The car hesitated the started just fine . Went to put it in drive and would go hit the gas and nothing no noises of something broken nor leaks dealership says it transmission, torque converter and transmission control module. Any idea 8,000 worth of the trans alone . And they say I cant install a used trans 08 e350 4matic

So as I was told by the dealership I cant install a used transmission because it wont work that something had to be reprogrammed and the valve bodys had to be changed to the new/used trans

You need someone to virginize the TCU in the conductor plate and enter your vehicle's VIN. The tools are out there and the info was posted on this site in the past year.

Do you by chance know the name of that tool and software or how to get my hands on it I'm a hands on guys I can replace the transmission and parts my self. I just dont really fell like it is the transmission I've had several issues in the past with this dealership but they are the only ones close to me
