Hi there. My mercedes S350 2009 gear has stuck in park with a warning on display "drive to workshop without shifting gear". It isn't coming out of park whatsoever. The scanner doesn't show any problem with the car and at the same time is unable to scan ISM A80 module (says ISM not connected to CAN bus). Need help pls
P.S I cant take car to workshop as gear wouldn't change to neutral even

How old is the starting battery? How old is(are) the auxiliary batter(ies)? Replace them all if there is any question.
The starting battery is underhood.
The aux battery is either in the left side of the instrument panel, or on the front wall of the trunk if you have ECO start/stop.

Thx for the reply. I also thought battery might be the culprit, so i checked the main battery under the hood and found it very weak, replaced it a week back. Car ran fine that day n gave up the next day. Originally Posted by chassis

Start with a fresh set of batteries. The aux batteries can give strange results with shifting, so replace all batteries in the vehicle, which in your case might be three batteries.
