STAR Program New key
From what I've read, you can marry a virgin key to a car via STAR correct?
I can get an OEM key new for $80 and then all I would need is the blade from the dealer.
Car is in question is a 211 and a C215, both of my cars only have one key.

hope you find a cheaper way but many of us have tried and end up at the dealer... in my case it's approx $550 bill

dunno for the 211 but for the C215 you must get a programmed key from the dealer with you VIN and free slot in your EIZ
you have to use Xentry to lookup what slot is free before ordering
then only you can add the key once you get it

There are many versions and choices for DAS/Xentry Diagnostics for MB.
Ensure you have the right information before getting one. There is too much misleading info.

Unfortunately you can’t marry a key to a car with SD. They would be an invite for thieves.
I can tell you if you don’t wanna spend $250-$300 for a new key tell the service advisor your want a 3rd key rather than a spare key. That is the key phrase to get them for $150-$180.
