1991 300TE 4matic wagon, IGNITION tumbler won't leggo of key
my 91 300te 4matic wagon, had the key stuck, I removed the ignition tumbler and worked the key out and cleaned and oiled the whole thing and the key works great,
except then I put the tumbler back in , and when I go to put the key in and turn it to position 2 the tumbler clamps down on the key and won't release it until I remove the tumbler again. everything seems ok inside the ignition housing and the inner workings.
I keep thinking there must be something I'm not doing right..
any thoughts?
I been stressing on this for a couple weeks now.

p.s. the car still starts and even did when the key was stuck originally
