I have a 2007 c230 and it shows a code P0077 Intake valve solenoid circuit high (bank 1) It does NOT turn on the Check engine light though. Can anyone help me figure out what i need to do to fix this code?
That code is usually associated with the infamous tumble flap actuator plate being broken. This causes a loss of performance because the intake configuration cannot change as conditions change to maintain optimal performance. This is a common issue on that engine. The piece is made of plastic, becomes brittle after many heat cycles and it breaks. You normally have to take the manifold off in order to replace it and fix it. The dealer doesn't sell the piece new. Places like www.rmeuropean.com and www.fcpeuro.com sell a replacement piece made of metal that will not break. Lots of how-to videos on YouTube about this. This code will never turn the check engine light on...... If you do decide to repair this, go ahead and get a complete intake manifold assembly. Do not waste your money on the repair kit available all over the net.
