My family just purchased a GLS 450 2020. I've noticed that when the car is idling and no one is sitting in the driver's seat, the A/C turns off. However, it doesn't seem to have that issue when someone is sitting in the driver's seat while idling.

Is this a function that can be turned off or is this an issue with the car that needs to be looked at?

As you can imagine, it starts getting really hot for the kids and me sitting in the car after my husband gets out for whatever reason.

Please clarify what is meant by "the A/C turns off". Does the entire system shut off, or just the blower, or just the compressor? And does the engine shut off as well?
