I think it’s the 157, the 5.5 Biturbo, how hard is it to replace the valve stem seals? I’m very mechanically minded, can it be done without pulling off the head and working from the top with the head cover off?

because on vacuum I have blue smoke out my left bank, pulling the plugs, it’s looks like cylinder 5 alone is effected. So do the seals first, it’s a worthy culprit to the problem and if it still exists after that, well then it’s a very serious piston / ring / sleeve issue no?

if you aren’t going to reply with an answer to his question why even reply? That’s what’s wrong with this forum, countless useless responses. OP it’s been a couple years pretty sure you have found out it’s not an easy job. Engine must be pulled out and heads removed.
