Defective E53

I got my E53 coupe back in May and was loving it, until one day, the CEL came on and the car stopped giving the engine any turbo boost... I was making 200HP at most. I pulled over, restarted, everything was normal. Happened a few weeks after, same thing, became normal again. I took my car in to the dealer the next day to diagnose. The dealer said that there was a blown fuse that was causing the relays to mess up. I took the car back, exhaust won’t pop or crackle no matter what, and a week later, the problem happened again. Verified there are no blown fuses. Restarted engine, everything’s fine, hours later same issue again! Ran the codes and saw P0234 (overboost). Not sure what’s going on but I’m taking it in again. Needless to say, disappointing that a 5000< mile car is already giving me trouble and requiring a second attempt to repair the same issue. Any input or similar experiences? There should be a video of it I took attached below

Sorry to hear about the experience. You may want to become familiar with the lemon law in your state.

Sounds like another in a string of botched new model launches for M-B.

Yeah, I looked into it I have to give the dealer four attempts to repair the defect, or my car needs to be out of commission for thirty days before they have to replace it. It’s a lease so not sure if it’ll be more complicated.

Have you heard of other powertrain/gearbox issues with the 53’s?

Not specifically related to the new inline 6 or E53. My comment is related to the original post, plus the V167/X167 launch, M177 early issues, Bluetec, the list goes on.
