Charging system problems
Hello,
I have a 97 E420 I'm having trouble figuring out. Several days ago, the "charge battery" message came up. I drove a short distance home, and put my cheapo smart charger on it. After the battery successfully took a charge, I started the engine, and ran the alternator test using the charger. It showed a bad alternator, so I ordered a reman from Napa. After seeing what a PITA changing the alt, and reading how the voltage regulator was most likely the problem, I changed that out, unsuccessfully. Can someone tell me if there is an X4/10 fuse hidden somewhere? I have the passenger side door well up, and don't see it there...
