Are ITG filters any good?
I'm going to change my air filter.
I'm not really looking for any gains (my airbox is stock). But the foam ITG filters look interesting. If there is any risk, then I will stay stock.

Risk....
...if you put too much oil on the foam filter it can contaminate MAF sensor. If you don't put enough the filter isn't effective. The engine is designed for paper...why not use it? You will not get a performance increase just by changing the filter type unless the original filter is restrictive...and the paper elements are used by MB all the way up to their most powerful engines.

Foam filters work excellent and that is why every race group from GP bikes to Baja 1000 use foam filters. Paper filters are only used by manufatcurers because this eliminates having to service the filter and rings true with society's typical "throw away" mentallity. K&N filters are worse than paper because if the fibers aren't oiled they can downdraft and get caught up in the mass air meter as well as clog the intake.
Don't knock foam filters just because you aren't in the know.
