8 years/30k miles on transmission fluid

Hello everyone,

I bought my 2012 car 2 years ago with 5,920 miles only. Since then, it now has 30k miles. The transmission fluid inside it is still the factory-filled one. The service manual calls for the transmission fluid and filter change at 8 years or 70k miles since it's the 7G+ transmission.

My car is now 8 years old but the mileage is much much less than 70k miles so my question is should I change the fluid and filter or leave it be until the 70k miles mark?

Thank you in advance.

I’ll be in the same situation as you Sep 2021 and plan on changing the fluid.

I prefer to follow the manufacturer’s specifications. If MB says 8 years or 70k miles, you fit the first criteria, correct?

Cool. I'll definitely report back after I do it and let everyone here know how it went.

That is correct. I'm going to get it done this month.
