Trunk (boot) latch not releasing with central unlock - CLK350 A209 convertible 2006

My a209 boot (trunk) latch handle will not unlock when unlocking the general car central locking on the remote fob. It will, however, release correctly both when I press the dedicated ‘boot (trunk) only’ button on the fob and also pressing the button on the drivers door. This only started in the past week, previously it had been ‘normal’ and released when the central locking opened the doors.
I presume that I have altered a ‘security’ setting in some way due to my ‘finger trouble’ as I could see that there might be a reason to not have the boot (trunk) release at the same time as the doors. Suggestions would be appreciated.
