Help! Transmission leak! 220,000km GLK350 original owner
Hey guys,
long time lurker but haven’t posted here. I’m the original owner of a 2010 GLK350 4Matic with 220,000km. It’s recently developed a leak at the rear of the transmission, maybe transfer case? Is this an output seal leak? I noticed the rear housing seems to have a few parts held together with sealant, does it simply need resealing? The back is very wet and concerning, however it drives fine. I maintain this vehicle myself and have never had any major issues so I’d like to sort this out and make my way to a million km! Transmission has been flushed at about 110,000km. Thanks for any help!

TO find leaks...
follow the oil stain oily dirt etc forward and up high as the oil goes the other way when driving.
sometimes cleaning it all up and then driving a bit until you can see leak point.
But since I see fluid in front of rear oil seal My guess is soemthing up front could ALSO be leaking - that does not mean tail shaft seal is not leaking.

Thanks for the reply! I agree could be from anywhere. I cleaned the spot yesterday and will lift the car again to reinspect.
