W210 M112 Fuel Injector Power
When starting all is good, but after a few seconds, cylinder 3 shuts off. I have tried with a test light to the injector plug, it blinks as it should for a few seconds, but then goes off. I have also tried to connect a fuel injector to the plug, clicks fine for a few seconds, then shuts down.
Connection to ECU is checked and good.
DTCs found:
P0203 (Y62y3 cylinder 3 fuel injector) - MIL on & current
P0300-80 (Misfire cylinder 4) - MIL on & stored & current

There Are a few issues I learned about M112 era engines. 1) change the crank sensor at the rear of the motor. 2) change your voltage regulator on the alternator.
I am not advocating checkbook diagnosis. But, these two items will cause erratic duty cycle issues.
My plugs were eight years old and were 100% fouled. Plus, for some reason, the right side injectors fail open. My motor exploded because 1.5 quarts of gasoline were in the oil pan.
Where is there a terrific MB dealer to buy a new ECU (ECM) from to have programmed to my car??
Anyone else heard of this problem?? My injectors are NOT Chinese, just the typical Bosch #62421units!
Thank guys and Gals
I bought a replacement motor on Ebah for $524.00... It had near perfect dry compression! I used the three left side injectors from my old engine. Open the valve covers on the received motor and, damn! the right side head is showing signs of being cooked! These generations of Bosch ECUs are nearly identical across BMW and MBZ. I am unaware of BMWs having this same issue of injectors causing hydrolock. It literally just may be the Bosch injector for MBZ is flawed.
