Applying to work for Mercedes-Benz, HELP!
Hello,
I have an interview with Mercedes-Benz this upcoming week and I had some questions for those who may have information regarding this matter. It may not be worth it but any extra information will help.
I'm applying for the valet attendant at a local dealership. The manager and I talked about being able to work towards being in the technician field of Mercedes-Benz after getting my foot into the company. The only concerns I have that may ruin my chances as of now would be a DUII on my record for cannabis 4 years ago in 2017. I can pass the drug test now and I'm much more mature than I was back then. I'm just afraid this would be a problem and paint a bad image for me. The manager says its up to their insurance once I go through the background check process.
I understand any biased opinion someone may have. The main point is that I need to move forward with my life. I'm 25 now. I've been working on Mercedes the past 3 years and cars for over 5 years. Currently going to college for Automotive Technology and focusing on being a technician for Mercedes. These cars have always been the best bang for my buck and I've really grown attached to some AMG's I've owned.
I have an exceptional work history that makes me more than qualified for the job position I'm applying for. Has anyone came across any information or stories about people in a similar position as mine?

Not my area of expertise, but I think there is a difference in being arrested for, and being found guilty of a crime. Depending on the jurisdiction I think you are only required to list an arrest if you were convicted. Do a search online for your state.
