Hi,

A friend of mine has an E class estate which has come up with a restraint system malfunction error on the dash.

I have done some googling and seen suggestions that there can be an issue with tension in the cable connection to the sensor. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is located for me to check this? Also, it is his Mrs car and it is rather a mess, so it did occur that the issue might be something has been dislodged or disconnected under one of the seats. Could that cause the issue and any way to check which seat is the problem?
