FSB4 key programming?

I lost my only key to my 14’ W212. A key guy that did my 04’ GTO first quoted me $450. He then said it was FSB4 and had to go to the dealership. Is this my only choice? What should I expect to pay? Would I have to have it towed? I’m trying to figure out what to do as painlessly and quickly as possible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Painlessly and quickly may not be part of this equation. I only have expereince in the US, but here you go to the MB dealership with your ID and the car registration to order the key (two in this case). After confiming the car belongs to you and you are who you say you are they order them and let you know when they arrive. I have heard prices from $300-$450 per key.

Absolutely, i agree with you, there are very few locksmith companies who are equipped with FSB4 read/write as i called car locksmith boca raton and they refused to program that key fob.

Did you have your car towed ? Or just went to the dealer with the proof documentation and they get you one ?
