Used Vehicle lemon Law and Crankshaft
I have bought a CPO gls450, after 2 months, the car can not start. The dealer told me the engine is seized and needed to change the crankshaft. I have waited for about one month, but the dealer still needs to wait for the parts.
May I ask for a refund for the car according to the lemon law? If I resell the car, is the car's value will drop since changed the crankshaft?

NEed to check with your state lemon laws.....and a lawyer..
I doubt yo uwould win as they are in process of repairing and probably waiting on parts.
And a crankshaft is not something that tends to be in stock is my guess.
Might have been easier for a whole rebuilt engine or short/long block.

I think lemon laws requires that a vehicle exhibit persistent and multiple issues that can't be effectively repaired in repeated attempts. Since the dealer has ordered parts and is planning to do the repair, you need to provide him an opportunity.

According to the lemon law, you should be able to ask for the reimbursement of the car, but this does not mean that you will receive it.
