M273 Upgraded intake manifold flap lever
Im new to the forums and looking to buy a 2010 cls550 grand edition with the m273 engine I've heard about the intake manifold and thermostat problems but more concerned about the intake as of right now. Since the flap being plastic is the biggest problem I've seen that on ebay they sell aluminum versions of the flap has anyone done that upgrade considering if I buy it I upgrade the flap and I'm done with it.

Saving on the new intake might save you something now at the risk of something worse in the future.
What i have heard from indies is: if you plan to sell it soon it is an inexpensive solution (same labor costs anyways), but if you want to keep it do NOT do it.
