I own a 2018 GLE350 that has the 3G Mercedes Me module. Can I buy and install a new or used LTE module and be able to connect to Mercedes Me? I am thinking of buying the following:

NEW GENUINE MERCEDES ENHANCED REMOTE CONTROL UNIT HERMES 2.1 A2479004605 LTE ECE

Also, where on the vehicle is this module located? Thanks!

Mercedes does not offer this upgrade, so I am not sure how it would work for you. I'm sure if they did, they would offer it since it the mbrace subscriptions were a revenue stream for them. They did say you could get the Verizon Hum product for some of what mbrace used to offer, but it would not be the same. See the following link.

You can not just swop the module :-( And sadly it has to be in our workshop so sorry to those not in UK

I read somewhere that this is not possible any longer by Unique. Do you know where this communication unit is located on a 2018 c-class Cabriolet?
