rebuilding an M112 - what would i need?

hi all,

jsut wondering if the pros here would have a nice list of things i'd need to consider if i rebuild an M112 engine.

like, head gaskets, valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets, etc.

i would appreciate if one of the grizzled vets who have done this (there are likely a few on this forum) would share their precious parts list!

thanks

Id recommend looking at the M113 Videos from JMSpeedshop. Basically the same engine and he talks about almost everything there is to know.

M112/M113 rebuild

Yes JMSpeedShop on YouTube has the best videos on m113 rebuild he did it right ! Also twin turbo it with standalone , the guys a genius & dose everything himself . I used his videos to help me rebuild my m113 engine & documented it on my YouTube channel (@TheLongRanger55 ) . If you need any help let me know I love to answer questions if I have an answer & want to help as many m112/m113 owners with their engines .

For a full M112 rebuild, your core parts list is spot on. Definitely include head gaskets, valve stem seals, and valve cover gaskets. Don't forget timing chain guides, tensioners, a full gasket kit, water pump, thermostat, and all new seals. It's also wise to replace the oil pump and check the condition of the harmonic balancer while you're in there. A machine shop should check the heads and block.
