Gear Shifter

The other day, my gear shifter won't shift out of park when my sister used my car. As I figured out what was wrong that the cable to the ignition lock snapped. As I replaced the cable and shift out of park perfectly except one thing, when I put it into gear, i noticed the N and D is right between the middle rather than right at D. I think my sister bent the shifter. So now I figure out that it's not bent. Someone told me the bushing in the linkage might be broken from trying to force the shifter out of park. Any idea what would it be? Is it something I can replace myself or is it expensive to fix? I have a 96' E320

Bushings

Shifter Bushings are easy to replace but you need to raise the car to replace them. The bushings themselves cost under a dollar. I would take it to a mechanic and have him do it.
