Seatbelt presenter won't retract, and Gremlins hit speedo display at same time (W209)
I am finally getting my new car to the shop on Friday. I thought my initial list was finite, but no.
This morning I drove the car to pick up food at the bakery and all was fine on the way out. When I returned to the car I got in and it "presented" the seat belt as usual. I opened and closed the door while the presenter was in the forward position. When I closed the door the seatbelt presenter would not retract, and I drove home like that.
At the same time I lost "Audio" and "Navigation" on my speedo display. As I cycle through, one window just says "OFF" and another window is blank. The radio still works fine. I had been using the Audio display to change stations since the LCD screen on the radio is fried.
I tried turning off the car, getting out, restarting etc. but the presenter is still stuck in the forward position.
Any thoughts how to reset this?
Obviously I have Gremlins!

Well, these are such amazing cars that it fixed the problem above all on its own.
I went for a drive about an hour later, and now everything is fine, back to normal.
