Keyless Go Not Working with New Dealership Key
I bought my 2014 GLK 350 from a used dealer that came with a generic third-party key fob. The Keyless Go features had never worked. I figured this was because of the generic key fob. I paid a ridiculous amount for a genuine key fob. The new fob I ordered through the dealership came preprogramed. It is able to start/lock/unlock out of the box. However, it still doesn't work with Keyless Go. The dealership confirmed my vehicle does have Keyless Go; however, told me the new MB key fobs do not work with my model's Keyless Go. Also, they are not able to reprogram any keys.
Is my dealership mistaken or is this true? Is there an underlying issue the service department didn't evaluate?

Your dealership is correct that you cannot program/reprogram a key fob once it has been programmed.
