m113 troubles

hello, I have some questions for those of you who or better versed in the world of Mercedes then I am. I would like to preface by saying that I am a certified tech, my training however is with gm, and ford. so my knowledge with Mercedes is limited. I have a 2004 Chrysler crossfire, (sacrilege I know) I am in the process of trying to v8 swap the car with the m113 out of a 2002 E55 AMG. this is my first swap and after doing some research and speaking with some folks who have done the same swap it seems like a good option for a beginner. however I think I may have gotten burned on my engine. I bought it used online from a scrap yard, I had intended on putting in the car within a week of it arriving in order to make sure all was well before the warranty ran out. however life had other plans and so the engine was put in the car but the swap has not been completed for almost a year now. the engine is in the car, with the bell housing bolts in. the exhaust is out of the vehicle, and that is how it has sat for the majority of this last year. up until very recently that is, I'm finally back in a position where I can put some money into the car and I'm trying to get it running as soon as possible, however when I attempted to turn the engine to install the torque converter bolts I found that the engine would not turn, so I stuck a bore scope down the spark plug hole. the cylinder walls looked good however there was slight rust along the top edge of two of the pistons. so I did some research and talked to some old timers and was recommended to put a mixture of ATF, oil, and marvel mystery oil in the crank case and in each of the cylinders. I let that sit for a few months occasionally trying to turn it over with no success. after some more research I came to the conclusion that I should pull the heads and apply some gentle rubber mallet love to the tops of the pistons, while trying to turn the crank, which has had no success either. I'm really wanting to avoid a full blown rebuild on the engine, and I know a lot of what I've done and am doing will make some of you not so happy. but I just want to get my car running. my plan as of now is to pull the engine to look at the crank shaft and get an idea of what could be seizing the engine so badly. however before I do any of that I want to find the crank bearings, and get as much information on that procedure as possible. I'd like to not mess it up and continue to use this engine if possible. so if you have any advice or know of where I can the parts I need I would greatly appreciate the help. thanks in advance.
