Hi ALL,

I just got a multiplexer and laptop. Well I bought the laptop with software ages ago and never got around to the multiplexer part. Anyway I have been struggling to get this setup to work with my 05 E500.

I have checked most of the simple stuff and done a lot of reading. I appear to have good coms with the multiplexer Laptop IP set to 172.29.127.118, 255.255.255.0. Multiplexer shows as 172.29.127.29. Last night I checked the cal.ini file for DAS and it appears to be correct.

Error I get is: Communication Fault: incorrect vehicle connection cable used between diagnosis multiplexer and vehicle diagnostics socket; Diagnostics system data sectors are incomplete or faulty.

So I was thinking laptop setup but or the obd cable; however I successfully scanned our 2015 ML 250 CDI last night with no issues. So now I am thinking either something with the cars CAN bus or maybe something with the DAS install.

I'm pulling my hair out with this so any help or tips that you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thinking now maybe I don't have the correct DAS AddOn packages installed. Any places to download those?

 

You should get a BenzNinja Club membership and contact @BenzNinja for DAS support. He can check your configuration and possibly make corrections IF your XENTRY/DAS software is good. Which multiplexor do you have? C3 or C4? Are you using a physical ethernet cable or trying to connect using WiFi?

 

Sorry, I see now that you have a C4. Be sure to use the physical ethernet LAN cable.

 

Yes I'm using the ethernet cable. Will checkout benz ninja.

 

Should also add, no issues with the car really aside from the SRS light, which is what I'm hoping to troubleshoot and clear.
