DTS Monico help saving variant

Hi all
First thanks to anyone who read this post or has any input about my issue.

So I'm learning and am currently playing with variant coding my front Sam turn signal pulses from 3 to 5. I write the new code and it reverts back to original coding after the car falls asleep and wakes up or if you do a hard reset of the module. So I read online that i need to save the variant coding to permanent memory. This is where I'm stuck at. The first two photos show the variant section that in trying to change one converted to English. Its in simulation mode because i forgot to take photos with it hooked to the car. The third photo is the diagnostic tab with where I believe the setting to save to permanent memory is nowhere to be found and the third photo and the fourth photo is converted to English.

Si guess I'm asking if anyone knows why I cant see the save to memory part? And how to fix this? or has any workaround or input I would like to hear it.

I'm also very curios about Vediamo. Does it need a extra step to make permanent changes to variant coding?

Sure, the revert is common. That "save to permanent memory" option can be hidden in Vediamo. Try it again with the car connected, not in simulation. The button might appear.

A much easier workaround is to use a dedicated app like BimmerCode for this specific change. It automatically handles the permanent save correctly and is far less fussy.

Thanks for the info . I have tried with the car hooked up and the menu options are the same. Since I forgot photos I just used sim mode because i needed pics. I just looked at the BimmerCode web site and Mercedes isn't supported. The coding is pretty easy I just don't know how to make my changes permanent. I may have to switch and use Vediamo but I am more comfortable with DTS Monaco.

I tried with vediamo and the same result all my changes work until you reset the module or the car goes to sleep it wakes with the old settings?

@Alexie
You were correct. I had time yesterday to plug into the car with it on the battery charger. To translate all the modules into English and went thru every mode and sure enough there is a download folder that I only see when hooked up to the car. Taking the time to translate everything helped me to see my mistake of thinking they were the same. Of course I forgot to screen shot it. I will post that soon for others to stumble onto this thread. Next learning experience will be learning the correct way to use a seed key calculator Got some reading to do because i don't understand where the numbers come from and where to apply the new key. I will figure it out. Its amazing how many ways there are to acuplish the same goal of programming a specific module and how little info there is because everyone seems to do it a bit different and they don't explain very well.
