Where to get hold of Mercedes service records
Hi
I need to get hold of digital service records for a mercedes i have imported. Its a newer then 2016 so should be possible to get the information from somewhere as its mostly digital service booklet.
where can i contact to get this information, or anybody here i could send the vin number to with access to mb systems to send me the service and maintanance history of the car?

There is no single source of service records. Mercedes has the service records if the car was always serviced at a Mercedes dealership, but those records have personal information from previous owners, so generally they don't give them out. They can print an anonymized service record, though as far as I know. If the car was serviced elsewhere, or if the owners performed their own service, then the records would be with the shops/owners that did the service. Here in the USA we have third-party services such as CarFax that collect the history of a car, but it requires the shops to report information to it. Not all shops do, so it goes back to the original point. There's no central repository for a car's service history and third-party services have at best partial records. With an imported car it's another story altogether. You'd have to get the records in the country that the car was imported from.

You are looking for what’s called a vehicle master inquiry or a VMI for all of the Mercedes dealership services. Unfortunately, because you imported this car, you may have to find somebody in the country of origin that can do this for you. As mentioned above, this is never provided outside of the original ownership, but sometimes you can find a friendly service advisor that will read it to you. I was lucky to find a friend at Mercedes-Benz when I bought my car and they gave me a printed VMI.

Any Mercedes-Benz dealership can pull the full digital service history for you. Just call your local dealer's service department, provide the VIN, and they can usually email you the records.
If the car was serviced privately, those records will be missing from the Mercedes system.
