W202 sticky sunroof - how to fix the problem

I try here.

My sunroof is sticky.

It opens a bit then stops, then need to press switch again to open, sunroof opens a bit then stops and so it goes on.
When I want to close sunroof it doesn't work, need to press switch in tilt-mode to close it.

When I try to re-open sunroof in full it works perfect like nothing happened.

It will work perfect one day for the next day to give me another hiccup with stickiness.
Like having random intermittent issues.

I don't hear any strange noise from sunroof motor, I don't think this is the problem.
Could it be the comfort relay 202 820 09 26 giving me problems?
Plugs on relays are notorius getting tarnished over time as they turn black, could this be the culprit with possible low voltage?
Maybe I should try to clean the plugs with contact cleaner to see if it helps?

Anyone know where the sunroof relay is located on W202?

Do you clean and grease the sunroof yearly?

I would hook up my obd scanner and see if theres any faults showing for the sunroof that may point to the issue.

have you done a calibration procedure to see if that solves the issues? Can be done thru the obd scanner functions or manually. The calibration steps should be in the Operators Manual in the glove box. Should be simple like closing the sunroof then holding the button a few seconds longer.

The sunroof relay M12/1k1 is at the motor M12/1m1.

When scanning for faults look for a fault with the N70. Noted below.

Thanks for your reply.

Last year at the dealership I told them to clean and re-grease the rails, it didn't help at all.
I also told them connct the 38 pin code reader, there were no stored fault codes for sunroof.

I have also calibrated the sunroof by the correct procedure, it didn't help.
As a sideeffect , I can't operate my windows nor the sunroof with my remote opening - closing since the sunroof is having issues.

What is this relay and where is this located, is it coupled with the sunroof motor?

Do you refer to this?

The manual shows that relay up in the overhead console where the sunroof buttons would be.

I was looking at this online manual here: https://lemon-manuals.la/Mercedes%20...d%20Diagnosis/

For the relay location I looked under Relays and modules > Relays- Body and frame > Sunroof.

Also look under Body and frame > Roof > Sunroof.
