1970 Mercedes Benz Unimog 404.114
1972 130.923 engine identification

I wanted to ask those of you in a place to speak technically. I have located, and intend to pick up next weekend, a 1970 130.92312 01330 Engine from a 1972 250. Can anyone confirm for me this is a late production 2.8 engine with all cooling upgrades? I intend to install this engine in a 1970 Mercedes Unimog and am a little concerned about cooling issues. Does anyone know why it is some people run into cooling issues with this engine? Is it only that the pistons are siamessed? Is it an inherit problem with this engine? Do you believe that this engine when matched with a good radiator has no cooling issues. What is the safe as far as an oversized piston? Any help or links to these issues would help.

Thank you for your time, Trey Mosely
