W202 modifications

Hi, I have been registered here forever, but rarely come here due to lack of time. I was wondering if it was possible to retrofit the bi-xenon headlights from an ML class to a w202(2000) C230 Kompressor. Would it work, or would it melt the housing, or any other problems? Also, are there any easy ways to retrofit a COMAND system into a w202? Does it involve replacing the climate control if I don't have the electronic one? I have heard people took the console from a W210 E-class with comand and it fit their 202, but I have never seen it done. Also, I used to have a webpage that gave very detailed instructions on installing the COMAND, but it got lost. Anyone know of a good page for that? Also, does anyone know of a good GPS/radio that is not quite as expensive as the COMAND that sits in the console like COMAND?Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest you get the original 202 xenon lights that came from factory. It was a special order option back then. check with s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com and he should be able to help you. There are no easy retrofits for the 202 comands. They never were offered. You can still do it though but it's not straightforward.

The factory Xenons for the 202 were not bi-xenon were they? I would like bi-xenon if possible. Thanks for the help though

I wasn't even aware that the original lights were Xenon.
