I have a 1997 C280 with 5 speed automatic tranny and would like to find out if its possible for the transmision to fail . I have 67000 miles on the car and im the second owner (my father was first so its in the family) and lately the tranny gives me hard times. Sometimes when its downshifting from second to first it jerks i mean it dont downshifts smouthly but this dont happen every time i stop, and once the transmission got stock on the first gear and it would not upshift but then i stoped turned off the car waited 5 sec and started it again started to drive and everything was normal. Please help just spended so much money on wheels an body kit and now this.
