I'm going to take a shot at a selling my car privately. I'm hoping to get some opinions as to what a fair price is and whether my description is lacking anywhere. I was thinking $32,000. It has under 21,000 miles and almost 2 years left on the warranty.
I'm selling the car because I normally trade them in every 2-3 years. This time I'm going to lease. I'm trying to decide what mediums I should sell through. Ebay, Craigs list, Auto Trader, etc. Any advice is appreciated.

My car had been in a front end collision a few months ago. It was fixed by an approved body shop and I thought all was well. Anyway I took the car to Carmax to get a base line price and they said there is evidence of frame damage. That tanks the wholesale value to $20,000.
That really changes things. I’m honest and will not hide this.
I have a good friend who owns a dealership. He is willing to put my car in his lot. He’s seen the car and thinks it would be easy to sell for over $20,000. He says if it sells in 30 days, I get $21,000 and he pockets the excess. If it doesn’t sell, he wholesales it and gives me the $20,000.
So in the interim I will sell it with full disclosure of the accident for $23,000. I'm not expecting any bites.
