2001 SL500 61K miles 16.9k cheapest in western US
Car is in Phoenix, AZ
I bought this car form some yahoo who was in some kind of trouble and had to ditch it. It has a solid service history at the dealership and was previously certified as a starmark car.
The car needs a tow hook cover, it has a small dent in one of the rear rims that is causing a minor low speed vibration ($135 to fix) it has one noticeable scratch on the hood and a few minor door dings that you have to look for to see. And noticeable curb rash on the right front wheel.
The good, car has nice glossy 040 black paint that is in very good condition, would recommend a good detail on the paint to make it perfect. It is very nice and IMO would be worth a couple bucks to put an orbital on it and make it perfect.
Tires are good, Michelin Pilot sports, it has the staggered AMG 5 spokes in chrome that look fantastic with the black on black. Additionally, the car has the desirable AMG appearance package.
Interior is flawless period. Canvas top is excellent as is the hard top, obviously a garaged car. Underbody is free of oil and buildup.
Carfax is clean, will forward a copy on request. Just had the A service performed and the mechanic gave the car high marks. B service performed 12000 miles ago. Needs absolutely nothing mechanically.
Low book on this car is 21900, I will take 16,900. You will not find a cleaner example, (I looked) in the western US.
I am waiting for title and will not be able to deliver the car for approx 7 days, however you are free to view and drive the car and I can make the mechanics contact info available if you would like. I have a standing offer on the car and know that it is priced fairly. If you are looking to pay 15K for the car save us both some time, I appreciate your dicretion here, if you think you can do better somewhere else please do so prior to contacting me.
Contrary to my post count, I have been a long time member of this forum and have had several MB's over the years and am an afficionado and can assure you this is a very decent car at a more than fair price.
The car was wiped down but not detailed prior to pics, that should give you some idea as to its condition.
