1975 Mercedes 450 SL Convertible *Miami, FL*
Mechanically:
The 450 SL runs great, 107K miles. The engine sounds strong and the transmission goes through all the gears smoothly. It has a new distributor, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, and all new fluids. It also has a newer battery and we just had the A/C compressor tested for leaks and charged with freon, it blows ICE COLD! It has brand new tires all around and the brakes work great.
Exterior:
The paint is in great shape for the age. The car has been repainted around 8 years ago and it still shows very well. Other than that is is free of major scratches or dents. The chrome still shines well and the factory matching hubcaps are in good shape. All the glass is in good shape and the hardtop is like new. The softop however will need to be replaced as it has some cracks from aging.
Interior:
The interior is in great shape for the age. The seats were reupholstered about 8 years ago as well and still look fantastic. The headliner, carpet, and door panels are in great shape. The dash does have some stress cracks as it is original, the replacement caps are fairly inexpensive.
Electronics:
Almost everything works on this car. From the power windows, Air Conditioner, wipers, lights, etc. Even the original Beker radio WORKS! It does have a Clarion CB radio, but I am not sure if it works. The antenna does not work.
All the 450 SL needs is a new owner. It has a free and clear Florida title.
