4Sale Custom AirBagged Turbo W203
#77
By the way thanks Amanonfire & FrankW for expressing your sincere opinions on this blown out of proportion forum. Basically all this started out to be was me posting my car up for sale & now it has turned into this huge debate about either my rims or why did I install a turbo. Fact is everybody here has their own taste in style whether most of them share it or not. If you admit it or not everyone here has been bitten by the mod bug & can't stop thinking about the next thing to instal on their car. You buy a car because you like it & know it has potential to be much more than bone stock. The majority of us go just for aesthetic looks with a little acoustics, but some of us if not all think about one day hearing their engine roar. That's when I made up my mind to do something about it, did tons of homework & proceeded with the transplant. I know there are faster C's in the Benz line-up but then it would not have been a challenge & would still be pretty much stock but faster. I never had seen it done & that's what motivated me, besides at almost 300 hp I don't think it's a "slow a-s-s Benz" anymore. I like the way it sounds, feels, throttle response & feedback I get from any Benz owner whether it's on the streets or at a show. Don't tell me the thought of a turbo or supercharger on any car you may have doesn't sound fascinating, if so then why some guys here are so sour about me having done it to my car & poisoning the rest of the bunch. It could be a slight case of jealousy or ignorance, whatever the case is let's move on.
For those who don't think it's my car you could go check out my CarDomain page under my same name here. It shows the stages my car has gone through except for the turbo which was the last thing I did to it & have not updated my page. With that said any honest questions or offers are appreciated but let's stop the petty bickering, some of you guys are starting to sound like girls.
The specs & pics are coming soon, there's a lot to get a hold of.

I'm half asian, and completely, 100%, absolutely not attracted to asian girls...but dayam that girl is cute.
I still shake my head at people defending this guy...sure i could be the first person to try recreating a Monet with human fecal matter, that still doesn't make it cool. You get 300 HP, yay! just too bad i gotta be seen in a car that has everything short of the tampon string dragging from the back.
Besides trying to appeal to the wrong crowd...$20k? if i wanted a heavily body kitted car trying to eek into the "high performance" spectrum i'd get myself a modified Mustang or used M3 beemer...even if we are baby benz enthusiasts, you gotta scoff when someone brags that their car gets "props" from '92 civic enthusiasts...And no Porsche owner who owns one of the $50,000+ models is even gonna glance at a car that has more cheap plastic than their ride lawnmower.

I think that style had it's era. I remember when I was in high school (graduated in 03) all you would see on the streets was heavily body kitted cars. If it was the Mustang GT (black widow kit) or Toyota Camrys (shogun kit). Every car on the streets had something. But I think this phase died out sort of like the Spinners. You guys remember the spinners? Everyone had that they even had hub cap spinners. ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I usually don't see as much body kits as I did before. I guess Frank was right about how everyone is going the cheap way. I mean his car is not bad It might actually look real good in person and maybe better with high resolution pics.
It has it's own market I guess. I mean I really don't like Lowrider (small daton rims) but there are a lot of people who do. I wouldn't mind driving a raised truck but some people hate that stuff.
I guess it's really up to taste. Also I noticed back (back in the days) it seemed like bigger was better (huge rims) but now moderation is better.
Anyway try to post more pics man. Take a couple of shots. It'll probably help you sell it just a little more.
Edit
I was wrong I guess still bigger is better.

Call me ghettofab, but there's something about a 70's-80's car with a lift kit and 26-28 inch rims that makes me turn my head to stare...no matter how smart i think i am and how evolved i think mankind has come....must...admire....shiny....wheels....

Normally I just skip over posts like this, but I feel obligated to say that your taste is completley horrible and I really feel bad for that car. I respect the time and money put into it but you do realize that you have created a classless Mercedes Benz that cost you tons of money so you can win tropheys at tastless tacky car shows. A barracuda would so attack your car and its the rims fault.....
Moral of my rant, you should be the last person on this forum using the word "enthusiast".
I'm going to admit this is an a$$hole post, I apologize ahead of time but I could not sleep without posting this.

Props to the OP for trying new things in the face of adversity coming from people who are nothing more than bandwagon sheep. The way you have approached this thread thus far is exactly the right way to respond, and as it will continue to get tougher to do so with dumb posts like the one above mine, it's in your best interest in trying to sell the car to maintain that demeanor. Good luck dude.
More specs on your setup, the cars history, and detailed pics will likely help your sale as you know.

not to but in with a sore attitude or anything, but i've built full drift car 240's and other crap. there's three twin turbo Z32's being worked on at my house right now, along with an S14, two S13's, my car, and a boosted Z31. And as much as you "targeted" the import crowd, im gonna have to go with fail. if i were to post this on any of the import/ish forums i am on, im pretty sure you'd get the same solid WTF treatment as you did here.
now, what are those things you call wheels?
