1970 Mercedes Benz 280SL restoration project

This was a one owner car until the owner passed away. His company was purchased and the car went with it to the next owner. He wanted a complete restoration. After disassembly and media blasting he couldn’t afford to finish the project. Car has been sprayed with etching primer and has been sitting in dry storage since 1998. All parts for completion of this project have been boxed and inventoried and sit in storage. All chrome trim is original and has been re-chromed. All nuts and bolts have been re-anodized. All new engine rebuild parts still in boxes for build. All new injectors and new Bosch mechanical injection pump. Car was originally silver but original owner had it painted red. That is why car was disassembled and media blasted. Car was going to be restored to original condition and color. There is no rust on this car. It is ready for paint and re-assembly.
