This car also has
A CALIBRE built in radar system with remote....
It was also a certified car to 100k...obviously it is out of warranty but the car was basically a babied and well maintained car

I agree with C.Z.....buying a Manheim for $15800 and then trying to wack a member for 5gs is a little excessive! But then again, there are lots of extra fees when buying a Manheim car that some people just dont understand.

Not cool either way
I wont deny I got the car at manheim ...I dont want to be a liar...but $5k...****ing ridicuous...did this number come from a broken calculator?Because it is way off....The was a hard car to find at the auction trust me .....they built less then 1000 a year........and a car I had previously sold.....it is worth much more ...infact this car is cleaner and tighter then my friends CLS55 I just got him with 50k miles on it...he already spent $2200 in repairs........he drove it on Sat and couldn't believe it.......Should I sell a car like this for what $17-18k?....please....my dealer license alone costs me over $3k a month .......I would be stupid to sell it for anything less then it is worth...I had it previously sold for more then $19500....and I have a deposit on it for over $20k from craigslist....I obviously have more then $15800 in it...and what I make is bull**** compared to what I make in my fulltime job...as for being a sponsor...I sell cars on here on occasion...I have helped a lot of members find cars....any dealer considered a sponsor on here makes a lot of money on the members...trust me ...i have heard the complaints...I know of one guy who got hit for $27k over the cost of what the dealer paid...I barely make anything after taxes....
So get your facts straight....and your figures in line....
Also for a member to pass up a car like this for the price I would sell it for is also ridiculous.....you cant even find a decent M45 OR lexus ls430 sedan for under $20k ...let alone one with 500hp and an msrp of $137k AND ROCK SOLID quality.............**** the miles ....it is just broken in...atleast it drives and runs like it....

It's not about how much you are selling the car for. You can sell a 20k car for 50k as long as you find a buyer. The important thing is you have to state that you are a dealer and you make money out of this transaction. As long as the buyer knows every fact, you can sell your car for 20k or 25k no one cares.

I doubt this thread is going anywhere. Given that people will still see this as a quick 5k profit, local Craigslist is the best bet or autotrader.com & Cars.com Not to mention you said you got this car as a gift, so that now that means it's a 20K profit rather than 5K.
For 17-18K, that leave someone 2-3K to get a 4rd party warranty. But at 20K, it's a stretch with no warranty on a S55 AMG. It's not always about leaking. GLWS

You are right munk, I also assume you had a buyers fee of @$500 knowing Manheim, shipping @$250 and then clean up and any maint. So technically you have closer to north of $17000 in the car. I forgot about all the BS fees that go with the auction cars.

Thanks E....
I meant as a gift meaning the car was a praise of good luck and it came through at the end of the auction...basically there was no one bidding...if it was the other case then I would of paid close to $19-20k wholesale easy....I was seeing high mile E500's and BMW's bidding for more earlier in the auction...not FREE...OMG...lol
If I put it in the autotrader which I dont think with a deposit i will have to but if I had ..it will be the lowest priced S55 or blown Benz in the trader ...even at $21500....the car is only 6 years old....and a steal at $19500....a warranty is not an option..it has too many miles...and for the cost of the warranty it adds up to about 2-3 years of repairs if it needed it....
AND the S55 is worlds apart from a BMW or E500 or SRT8
As E said I am not making much...if anything...I also bought new mats and put an oil change and misc things...I treat all the cars I buy like my own....regardless if it needs it or not...I go through everything
You cant get a warranty on the car and it hasnt had a problem in 60k miles miles
Again too many people dont realize that these cars are not crap and if they break down it is not that expensive compared to other cars ....I have an independent mechanic I go ...he is great and 1/3 the dealer costs....

comparison ...high miles to low..all depends
Cars should not be solely based on miles...mainly these cars..AMG's..I see a few thousand cars a month....all kinds....I have seen a 10k mile E55 2006 that looked and drove like it had 210k miles on it and the owner was 56 years old...the seats were beat ....the engine was a mess...the body was horrible...2 panels were painted by a blind midget...it was kept outside...even with cleaning the car up it was a mission....I PASSED on buying...and I bought a 62k mile E55 the same day for $8k less....the 62k mile E55 looked like it was barely driven
I have seen a 15k mile CL65 that was looked like it went to IRAQ..the front spoiler was ripped ...the wheels were beyond repair..the brakes were shot...the car had three paint repairs...just a mess...the owner wanted top dollar...he bought it new!!! yes one owner car.......the next day I bought a 74k mile car from the auction for $15k less...and it was a near perfect car...
So when you want to hear more stories..let me know..i got a ton...the myth with the miles is a myth....it is who owned it and how it was treated
I hate buying LADY owned cars...I wont buy anything from NYC ..or around it...I dont care about the owners...I care about the RESPECT the owner had for the car....I also try to stay away from leased cars because most people who lease dont give a **** and do not change the oil...again it is tough to go that route since leased cars are 60% of the auctions...so I hand pick them...
This S55 was not leased it had 2 owners who babied the car ...it was a highway car ...kept inside at his job and at his house...he was in his late 40's...and was detailed at the dealership once a week...he worked next to the dealership.......and the owner traded the car in on a used s63....from the same dealer he has been dealing with for 12 years...I do my homework....
I.E.----I would put that against a 50k mile 2 owner car ...which was owned by a woman FIRST who piled her kids in the back and went for maintanance ONLY when it broke down...and the last owner was a young dude who used it as a late night party car with his buddies on the weekend and after 8 drinks raced everything from a Kia to a Taxicab on the way home from the clubs....see my point....

The car is located in South Florida
I am waiting on the final funds but as I told the buyer ...financing is not an option...the miles are too high regardless of the condition...the buyer is expecting to get a loan...that will not happen....so it may end up in the trader...unless he comes up with the cash....for that money you can put it on a low interest credit card transfer check...
BTW...shipping I can get anyway for around $600......
