Hi-
I am looking to part with my very rare 85' euro 16v (7/84 build date).
This car has a little over 200,000km on the clock. Lots of maintenance has been done in the past two years of ownership. Grey market car with EPA papers from Mass. Clear title information back to 96. The car has been driven as a daily driver for the past couple of years and has been dead reliable. The EPA paperwork is available as are the original manuals, tool kit and European warning triangle. The car is basically stock with r129 wheels being the only modification made. The interior of the car is one of the best I've seen. No rips, tears, scratches or fading...just nice black leather on Recaro seats. The rear seats appear to almost never have been sat in. The car also features nicely working VDO gauges including the elusive stopwatch. The car has original smoke silver paint and is in really nice condition for the age of the car. There are a couple of rock chips on the right front fender and a hard to notice shippers dent on the right rear by the gas tank. The car really begs to be drivin and pulls very, very strong in the upper RPM range as a 16v should. The AC is not currently functioning as it was removed to to a faulty compressor and AC bracket. The car still has all of the other components including a working condensor. Some of the maintainance performed during my ownership:
Two valve adjustments, oil changes before every 3000 miles, timing chain tensioner (pm), new serpentine belt and tensioner, new alternator bracket, breather hose, injector hoses, updated stainless steel thermostat housing, Behr thermostat(2), coolant flushes(2), new electro fan clutch switch.
Strut mounts, Bilstein HD's in front, rear spindle bushings, right rear hydraulic shock, rears accumulators, fully functioning SLS, SLS bleed(2), R129 EVO1 wheels, Sumitomo tires 225 45 16 with a lot of tread left, L and R tie rods w/ alignment.
Hubs, Bearings, rotors, pads, brake lines,
New hood pad, drivers side horse hair seat pad, tint.
Fuel distributer, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter, electro hydraulic actuator, new Eberspacher exhaust, fully tuned K-Jet.
Bosch copper plugs, cap and rotor, Bosch AL67x 70amp alternator
Again, this car is a true European 16v which has not been federalized. Insturments are still arranged in KM and Celsius. The car makes 185 hp compared to the NAM 167. Car has a full Eiberspacher exhaust (2 resonators 1 muffler no cat) I plan on replacing the injection seals this week as I noticed a small vaccum leak coming from that area.
I am looking to get $6700 obo. I also have Eibach springs for the car at a negotiable price.
If you need better pics or more information plz PM or e-mail.
Thanks!
