1992 190e Sportline in MA
All electric devices on this car work flawlessly save the oil pressure sending unit
some of the work done:
completely rebuilt front end including ball joints, control arm bushings with new eccentric bolts, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, brake pads and rotors.
(all lemfoerder, meyle, or *** OEM parts)
new sachs boge super touring OEM shocks all around
recent alignment
new timing belt tensioner assembly, adjusting rod and shock absorber
cooling system flush, new thermostat, mercedes coolant
auxiliary cooling fans replaced with more efficient and quieter aftermarket electric fans which have been wired into the stock fan relays.
car runs cool as can be even in the worst traffic
wheels stripped and refinished
eclipse CD/stereo installed. looks very nice. keeps a classy OE-like appearance and is wired into the stock speakers which work very well
entire intake system removed, checked, cleaned, reinstalled with new vacuum lines and gaskets.
brand new BOSCH distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, and OE plugs
issues:
-tripometer does not work. the odometer does though.
-oil pressure sending unit has failed and will need replacement, but has been double checked with a mechanical gauge.
-AC needs a recharge. it functions fine, but only blows mildly cool.
-wood trim around the ash tray is missing
-driver's side exterior door lock is broken. central locking system works perfectly, but must be activated from either the trunk or the passenger side door.
otherwise this car is ready to rock
