1995 S530D
FS 1995 S350D Chicago
This car was purchased brand new by my grandfather who recently passed away. He was a furniture salesman, and drove the car every day, and put a lot of miles on it. Which are mostly highway miles. The enginer was replaced early on with the factory replacement from mercedes. I don't have any receipts for it, but I don't think the engine would have lasted this long without it. When I received the car I had it inspected by a mercedes dealership. The found the following things wrong with it:
Rear differential pinion seal leaking
Bad one way vacuum valve
Driveshaft center support bearing worn
Air con needed to be recharged
All of those were fixed except for the center support bearing. You can hear the bearing a little when you are driving the car and not on the gas. I have the replacement bearing I just haven't gotten around to putting it on.
The engine pulls very strong and has no running issues. I recently took it on a road trip where I was driving for about 6 hours straight, 12 hours total and it had no issues at all.
The mileage is 445,000 miles.
I believe that this car will last for many more miles without and issues.
