HELP ME DECIDE WHAT CAR TO GET!
There are 3 quality cars for sale on this forum in the SL class
a.2003 SL55 AMG - Silver/Black @ 25K miles for 39,900 (with 1 year warranty remaining). Spotless apparently.
b.2006 V12 BiTurbo - Black/Black @25K miles I think for $49,000 (no warranty I think)
c.2005 SL55 AMG - Black/Black @ 2K miles. $58K bottom number.
All of the guys seem meticulous and good people with cared for cars. My first option is C but I can't afford it - 50K is all I can "truly" afford and we're $8K apart. A seems good because of the warranty (I think the mileage is higher than I'm listing, can't remember, may be 40,000 miles) but has a 1 year warranty. It's my 3rd choice. B seems like the best value and is getting a lot of love from people who have seen the car on this forum. I'm familiar with Turbo (I just sold a Twin Turbo Mazda RX7 1995) - not sure if it's the same beast or not.
Just thought, since I'm new to the SL family if I can get feedback. I test drove and lost out on a 2006 SL 55AMG because the guy wanted a check in 24 hours and I couldn't get it in that time (needed 48) and he traded it in for an Aston Martin and took the hit (he was a bone head I think for doing that, but it's his car).
Not sure what to do.
My goal is a flat black SL55 AMG 2006 as first choice and a 2007SL550 Sports Package as a second - mainly for cosmetic reasons. The 2006 AMG kicked - loved it.
