I completely understand and agree. I think dealerships have a right to make a profit. But I have the right to save that profit with a little leg work.
Apparently there are enought people that are willing to pay for convenience that dealers stay in business. I think tacking on 20% for a wax job and an air freshener is a lot of money - but thats just me.
I wish I had a 'friend' that would let me use his manheim access. Anybody - anybody ?????

I wouldn't say you have the "right" to save that profit. There's just too many scummy dealers that are willing to offer this "service" for a quick buck. It ultimately hurts the automotive sector in the long run, but there's nothing that can be done to effectively counter it.

I have the same situation, looking for Range Rover for my wife. Went to couple dealers, even drove from NY to VA dealer this weekend and still can't find what I want for good price. VA dealer was terrible expirience. Never knew, that Land Rover dealer can sell such a ****y car, which is 2 years old. Anyway....enjoy your GL...nice truck
