1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL Convertible with Hardtop

The current owner is a neighbor of mine and a physician who purchased this Mercedes for his wife about 12 -years ago from the original owner. She absolutely loved the car and used it every day to drive a few miles to her husband’s work where she helped out. Recently, the owners retired and this SL has simply become an extra vehicle.
The owner’s don’t know a whole lot about cars, so whenever it needed something, they dropped the Benz off at their local mechanic. Recently, they had the following work done: New tires, new soft-top, and some new ball joints.
I have many of the records and upon looking through them; it appears that the car has not been used much over the past 3 years. The body on this car looks to be free of rust or any major damage. However, the clear coat is peeling badly in some places and there are some door dings. The interior could use some reuphosltery.
All in all, this is just a solid driver that could be a fun project to tinker on.
This Mercedes comes with all books and extra keys.
