Hey guys...you're calling folks on this board "dreamers", yet, keep in mind that the op chose to post this
in the AMG forum where he will get "comments".
Classified section is where it belongs and where someone truly looking for an E55 will look.
Instead he's getting people who are browsing the forum to read this thread and post their opinions.
IMO that's to be expected.
So here's my comment. His asking price is right where Edmunds TMV, with same equipment and mileage,
for a private sale is priced. I think everyone will agree that Edmunds is high on their numbers and does
not refelct real world purchases. Lastly, we all tend to overvalue our own property because there's an
emotional attachment. Just my 2 cents.

I've never been on a forum before where the members wanted their cars to be worth less and less. Let the cars sell for what they will and stop posting on every ad that isn't 1000's under book calling the seller a dreamer.

If it was in the classifieds for months and you didn't get any interest, it's
probably a function of the weak market for these cars. I'm following an '09 E63 on Ebay
that's listed by a dealer just a few miles from my house.
He paid $54.5k at Manheim, PA on 11/08. He listed it 3 times since then with the highest bid ~$33k.
Yesterday he lowered the BIN price to $53.9k, $505 less than what he bought it for : Click Here
These are just observations Taso, don't take it personally. We all know how frustrating it is selling a car privately.
And in the AMG class, the target customer base is narrowed significantly.

im not asking 50k though and this isn't an auction car. You can have my e55 that has extended cpo for the price of a new kia. I have not found a car like mine for 23.5 anywhere in the country.

How come these have to turn into a debate everytime? I don't see a poll, Nor do I see the seller asking what his car is worth. Its a F/S thread. Not an Auction block. TTT and GLWS again. Great ride

Just for reference... I recently totaled my 55. I just finished updating to the 63 aesthetics, new wheels, new lip, new tranny, new pully... it was adjusted @ base $19k and w/ the options and receipts to $24k. She was 03' with 110k on the clock... this happened at the beginning of last Nov. With all of that said, its pretty obvious this is a really good deal the OP is offering... GL w/ the sale
