Three 126 Coupes FOR SALE

I have three coupes
1982 380 SEC Silver. $5,995
1989 560 SEC Blue. $9,995
1991 560 SEC Black. $8,995

which I need to sell, since I'm losing garage space.

I would like to turn three cars into one,
and would consider trading all cars
towards a MERCEDES 280SL, 3.5 Coupe or Convertible,
or 2005 or later MERCEDES.
Or just sell the cars, so take your pick.

I'm a Mercedes Club member and have owned and cared for these cars for many years.
All are registered, have clean Carfax reports and clear titles in my name.
Always garaged and covered, never driven in Winter.
I have service records.

Excellent, clean cars, located in Croton-on-Hudson NY (30 miles North of new York City)
Please call for further details and additional pictures.

To quote from a recent article in the publication MERCEDES ENTHUSIAST:
"In years to come, the Mercedes-Benz SEC will surely be as sought after as the 111-series coupes are now.
Elegant, pillar-less, luxurious and a lasting build qualify the coupe to be among the most desirable of Mercedes' modern classics. It was, after all, one of the very best Mercedes-Benz models of the 1980's, so good, that in some ways others are still trying to catch up".

and more:
"Those who today drive a Coupé of the C 126 series as a modern classic are sure to appreciate aspects such as its outstanding everyday practicality, high level of ride comfort, elegant appearance and exclusivity. An additional bonus is that with correct maintenance and good care it will at least retain its value and eliminate depreciation. In many cases, the value of the vehicle even rises over time."

1982 380 SEC. Silver metallic, blue leather.
only 50,000 miles on engine since total rebuild with dual timing chains by Mercedes in 1988. Total mileage on the car is 106,000.
Owned since 1992.
The car has a small AMG spoiler on the trunk lid, housing the 3rd brake light. Also is has the larger 15" wheels from a 560SEC.
The passenger door has two small parking dings from careless people.
Very clean car in excellent condition.
$5,995.

Here some further information, in response to many inquiries:

380 motors, up to 1984, were built with a single timing chain, which frequently broke, causing major engine failure.
The previous owner had this unfortunate experience.
According to the receipt he spent $4,686.01 at Key Motors, the Mercedes Dealer in Nanuet NY, in 1988 for rebuild with dual timing chains.
Starting with the 1984 model year Mercedes corrected the problem: All 380 motors were built with dual timing chains.

The car received regular maintenance over the years, including tune-ups, brakes, radiator hoses, batteries, oil changes, transmission service etc.
I put only approx. 20,000 miles on the car since I bought it in ’92, most mileage until 1999.
I spent approx. $5,000 on major items in addition to routine maintenance. This includes brake rotors, wheel bearings, climate control, idle speed regulator, suspension work incl. control arms, electronic engine management unit etc.The exhaust system was replaced in 1999 at approx.100,000 miles.
