I'm in the market for a WHITE C63 AMG. I'm curious about the lease trading websites like leasetrader.com, swapalease.com, etc., as I've never used them before. The big question I have is about the tax ramifications. I live in Chicago, and I believe that in Illinois when you lease a car you still have to pay the full tax amount, even if the title is being transfered from another state in which the tax was paid in full at purchase time.
Has anyone in Illinois used one of these sites before? If this is the incorrect forum, please direct me to where I can find more information about this.
