FS: 2001 E55 - $9900 in Northern VA

It's time to list my '01 E55 for sale. If you are looking at my ad, you probably already know the later models are heads and shoulders better than the earlier ones. My car has no rust, no accidents, no leaks, no smoke, and is fully serviced. The car runs and drives 100%, my daughter rides with me in this car and I don't mess around when it comes to her, the car's reliable and runs great. The only reason I am selling it is because we are expecting baby #2 at the end of the month and I will be taking over van duty full time. Here are some basic background information:

Clean title, title in hand.
  1. 114k miles, the car is clean both inside and out. Silver with black interior.
  2. COMAND
  3. New tires less than 1 year old.
  4. Fully serviced, and I have all paperwork since 2009, this includes new MAFs, new engine mounts, trans fluid flush with MB fluid (essential), various Service A and Bs.
  5. 11/2010, I added the X-pipe and resonator delete mod. This was not a hack job, it's an one piece custom mandrel bend piping mated to a X pipe from Mandrel Bend Solutions ($$) in MD.
  6. 12/2010, I had the front bumper professionally repainted due to all the rash it accumulated over its life. Not accident related, and I have the before photos. This was done out of pocket to the tune of over $1200.
  7. I also have in my possession a set of new OEM AMG front rotors which will convey with the sale, I purchased these for my last E55 and haven't had a chance to use them yet. The rotors on this car does not need replacing; however, given each rotor costs in excess of $300 at the dealership this is a nice benefit I am passing on to the next owner.
  8. The OEM cats and resonators will also convey.
Here are the problems, as I know it.
  1. The pixels on the outer LCD areas are going out.
  2. It is missing the driver's side door sill.

Keep in mind you are buying a used car so it'll not be perfect but the car is in very good condition. I welcome a professional PPI for you if you are really interested. There are several well known MB independents here as well as a MB dealer just a few miles from my house. I have a lot more photos available to share, about 100 in all. Please email me if you are seriously interested and I will forward it over to you.

Nice car!

I will have to give you a big thumbs up as an honest seller as ProCoAMG has atested to with his previous transaction. I like the color combo. Exactly what I have been searching for.

By chance is this the car from Ebay that was located in Chantilly? Ridiculous low selling price? I liked the iPod setup on that one.

Yep, same car; wasn't exactly as good a deal as I imagined so I ended up spending just over $2k getting it into the shape it is today (which puts me in a losing proposition at my asking price). However, no iPod setup only the Aux out standard with the COMAND.

.
My friendly suggestion would be to spend a few minutes polishing out those headlamp/foglamp lenses.

The hazy look really makes an otherwise clean-looking car seem older and more tired than it really is. It's probably the kind of thing you don't even notice anymore since you're used to it, but from an objective 3rd party perspective they really stick out.

I just messed around with the Novus brand plastic polishes last weekend (kit was around $10 from Amazon) and it worked wonders on my COMAND screen. I'll bet you'd have similar "night and day" results on those headlamp covers.....
