Didn't see the relisted link to this one in the thread yet, it's still on ebay after no-selling before:

"This is 1 of 196 E55 Wagons imported in 2005 and 2006 and rumored to be 1 of 5 Designo cars. Its in as close to immaculate condition as you will find for a E55 Wagon, inside and out. The search for this car consumed my life for a few months but it was well worth it. The car was in outstanding condition when I bought it (CPO ended in 2012 soon after I bought it) and has enjoyed an open checkbook since. Oil service performed every 5,000 miles and the car has been handwashed at least weekly. All receipts for maintenance work completed are available."

Recent Maintenance:
Cracked OEM headers were replaced with new OEM headers
Replaced transmission and engine mounts with OEM mounts
New winter tires
Rebuilt front wheel bearings
Fuel sender replaced with updated OEM units to prevent leaking (common W211 problem)
Replaced gear shift linkage with OEM unit due to keyless go wire prone to breaking (common w211 problem)
4-Wheel alignment
Faulty Keyless Go Handles replaced
Supercharger belt replaced
New spark plugs
New battery
New front ball joints
New rear main seal
New front and rear brakes
New driver's side mirror glass - replaced due to delamination (common W211 problem)
The cracked OEM headers and replaced transmission and engine mounts heavily implies that someone modded this wagon and things started blowing up. I would stay away. Also, it is overpriced in my opinion. Mine is newer, has tens of thousands of miles less, and I paid thousands less _at a Mercedes dealership_ w/ VMI and full maintenance done before I drove it off the lot and is a one owner car. After negotiating the deal, the price was under KBB before tax/license fees (I paid cash). Just my two cents.

This is the same E63 Wagon that was sold by Enthusiast Auto in January 2015 and after approximately 973 miles of driving.

I don't see the old for sale price on their link; anyone know what it sold for last month?

It was $39,900, but who knows what the actual price was. I see that the E55 has now been brought down $2k, but Enthusiast Auto's prices are higher since they demand a premium for relatively low mileage vehicles.

Most of the work items are routine on these cars. Motor mounts are a maintenance item between 50k-75k mile intervals. I've had them done on all my AMG cars, all of which have been unmodified.

It has accident history and the original owner clearly stated it was hit in the rear but it was never disclosed in both of the subsequent owner's eBay ads (hence the completely incorrect placement of the E55 and AMG nameplates on the rear). Also the photos in the new eBay ad are not current because the car is now in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The pictures on eBay were taken in October 2014 by the eBay seller "secondchildhoodagain" on Port Royal Avenue in Foster City. The car is also on Craigslist Cleveland https://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/4912384223.html Lastly, there were 215 E55 Wagons built for the USA market, 129 is wrong (137 for 2005 and 78 for 2006).

Thanks for the help I have an offer in . New btw, only to MB's, I am usually a BMW guy (on our 17th) I built a 1994 BMW 540iT/6 (4.0 and 6 speed manual swap) and sold it and have been looking for a good wagon replacement, I'm a huge touring/estate/wagonophile!

There goes another one: VIN WDBUH76J75A752118 was totaled and is listed on Copart.
http://www.copart.com/us/Lot/1684745...chId=258896105
The majority of E55 Wagons that have surfaced for sale in the past few months have either had high mileage or accident history-- and now the asking price of the E55 Wagon at Enthusiast Auto seems justified. Most of the high mileage cars that have sold probably needed or will need thousands of dollars in repairs and preventative maintenance anyway. Sadly, something tells me the buyers of those high mileage cars weren't budgeting for those repairs but wanted to get in cheap and will suffocate them to a slow death. These cars will only get more rare.
