Hi! WTB: 2007 V12 SL white low miles

Well i guess that says it all.
Well, maybe not--seeking...
A well-kept and well-equipped sl600 sans black or red interior, designo may be ok, preferably unmolested plan to chip it someday or whatever they're doing these days to make it go like hell.

dont get it?

What happened?
Am I doing something wrong.
Do I see this right-- no responses at all yet over one thousand views!
Were the responses deleted for some reason, by the moderator perhaps.
I cant believe so many people were just curious but every one with no car to sell or even make a suggestion.
I guess ive got a lot to learn about this strange bunch, eh.

Is there a post somewhere in here or some thread that explains anything about the psychology or personality of this group. All business is it, no play is it? Fine if thats the case, i havent looked around much, forgive my greeness. Im sure you all belong to other forums where there's more banter etc.

Anyway as it turns out we settled for an 8-cylinder model, one owner car.
Runs and looks great but we're getting some messages and weird stuff like temporary-off on convenience features.

I know this is probably the wrong place to ask but any suggestions?
Steve thinks it may need a new battery, I checked with Sears seems none fit for an SL, oh and doesnt it have two batteries, which should be changed first?

Does anyone know the charging specs, dimensions, etc so we can try to match these batteries, or must Mercedes dealers only swap new ones in?
Book says the trunk one is a VRLA type, who makes very good alternatives anyone been there done that?

Could someone recommend a past thread where battery suggestions were made to an another SL owner, thank you!..

If you call MBZ roadside assistance, they'll normally bring you a new battery and install it at a pretty reasonable rate. Or pick something with a similar size and rating (in amps). It's really not Mercedes specific, you just need a pretty big and powerful battery to crank everything up ok.

MBZ roadside assistance will come out to you and install the battery and it won't cost you anything other than the cost for the battery. MBZ roadside assistance is free of any charges for battery replacements and jumpstarts if needed. I also found that the original MBZ battery is cheaper than the Sears batteries. Hope that helps you somewhat. GL with your new car.

Not true anymore. As of January 2011 they changed their policy. Roadside is only free if you've spent in excess of 100$ at an authorized dealership in service in the past 6 months.

I found out because my alternator died and they said it would be 75$ for a jumpstart + whatever else.
